New Delhi: Ever since the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) staged a successful protest at Jantar Mantar in the capital, all eyes have been on its next moves. The party has now begun revealing its plans, hinting at a major agitation covering various issues. Meanwhile, the CJP has announced the composition of its National Working Committee.

The party has clarified that State Coordination Committees and Lok Sabha-level committees will be established across the country within the next six months. It also stated that, apart from the names announced on August 6, no other individuals have been nominated as office-bearers so far.

Responsibilities Assigned Within CJP

Abhijit Deepke will continue to serve as the CJP’s founder and National Convener. Ashutosh Ranka and Sourav Das have been appointed as Co-Conveners. Ajinkya Shinde has been appointed National Organisation In-charge, while Deepak Balyan is the Organisation Co-in-charge; Afreen Nawaz is the National Secretary, and Vijay Reddy Mallangi is the Media Head. Additionally, Ratna Singh has been selected as the Head of Legal Affairs. Vaishnavi Gaur has been appointed as the Research and Policy Lead, Rohan Deshpande as the Technology Lead, and Yogesh Ingle as the Finance Lead.

CJP’s Zonal In-charges

Certain members have also been assigned responsibilities as Zonal In-charges. Deepak Balyan has been given charge of the North Zone, Vijay Reddy Mallangi of the South Zone, Ankit Bhardwaj of the East and North-East Zones, and Yogesh Ingle of the West Zone.

Questions Raised Regarding CJP’s Core Committee

Questions have begun to arise concerning the Cockroach Janata Party’s core committee. A controversy has emerged in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, regarding the committee’s composition. A group of youths gathered outside Abhijit Deepke’s residence and accused the party leadership of nepotism and bias.

They have also demanded representation for all coordinators associated with the Jantar Mantar student protest. The protesting youths claim to have been active since the very inception of the student movement at Jantar Mantar. Abhijit Deepke faces allegations of inviting only his close associates to the core committee, while sidelining many other activists associated with the movement.

The protesters asserted that this was not the movement of any single individual but rather that of youth from across the country. They claimed that approximately 450 people had participated in the movement as coordinators, yet they were not even invited to the meeting held to form the core committee. In light of this, Abhijit Deepke has been accused of bias regarding the inclusion of individuals in the core committee.
