First, wash the soybean chaap thoroughly. Rinse it with clean water and dry it thoroughly. After this, heat water in a large vessel and as soon as the water becomes hot, add the chaap in it and boil it for a few minutes. Let it cook till it becomes soft. This will soften the chaap and remove any rawness present in it.
After boiling, take the chaap out of the water and let it cool down a bit. And keep it on a plate. Keep the dried chaap aside and now start making it.
Now take a large bowl and add curd in it. Now add all the spices in this curd. You have to add ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, a little chaat masala and salt as per taste. Also add some lemon juice and a spoon of oil in it. Mix everything well and make a paste. And prepare a thick marinade. Now add soybean chaap in it and coat each chaap well with the spices. That is, carefully spread the masala paste evenly over the pan. Let it sit for about an hour.
Now you need to take a pain and turn on the gas. Heat some oil or butter in a pan. Add the marinated soybean chaap and fry it well on all sides over medium heat. If you want it crispy, let it cook for a while. Keep turning the chaap frequently so that it becomes golden and slightly crispy on all sides.
If you want it juicier, apply a little butter on top while frying. Or add a little more masala.
If you want, you can also make soybean chaap masala by adding this chaap to the gravy. This way, the gravy chaap will also be ready. For this, you have to prepare a gravy of onion, tomato, cashew nuts and spices and add this fried chaap in it.
To make the prepared soyabean chaap gravy even tastier, you can add some butter, lemon juice and chaat masala on top of it and serve it hot. If you have onion rings and green chutney with it, its taste increases even more. So next time when you feel like eating soft, juicy and spicy soyabean chaap like the ones available in the market, then make it this way.
