To make this delicious dosa, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Sabudana – 1 cup
- Boiled potatoes – 2 medium-sized
- Water chestnut flour – 2 tablespoons
- Roasted peanuts – 3 tablespoons
- Green chilies – 2, finely chopped
- Ginger – 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
- Rock salt – to taste
- Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
- Oil or ghee – for frying the dosa
- Water – as needed
Complete step-by-step preparation method
In the first step, soak the sabudana. Wash the sabudana twice with clean water. Let it soak for at least 4 to 5 hours. After five hours, the sabudana will become soft. Drain it from the water.
Now, in the second step, you need to prepare peanut powder. For this, you need to take roasted peanuts and grind them coarsely in a mixer, i.e., to make peanut powder. This powder is made to give a nice flavor to the dosa, and it should be added to the dosa itself. Once the powder is ground, set it aside.
Now comes the next step, which is the 3-step dosa mixture preparation. For this, you need to take a large pot and place the soaked tapioca pearls in it. Add the boiled potatoes, mash them well, and mix them with the tapioca pearls. Now, add some water chestnut flour, ground peanut powder, chopped green chilies, ground ginger, cumin seeds, rock salt, and chopped coriander leaves. Finally, add lemon juice for a nice flavor. Now, prepare the entire mixture into a paste by adding a little water. The mixture should not be too thin, otherwise it will become dosa. It should be slightly thick so that it spreads on the pan and becomes dosa.
Now you need to heat a nonstick pan.
Place a nonstick pan on the stove and keep the flame normal or low so that the dosa does not burn and becomes crispy. After heating it on medium flame, apply some ghee or oil on the pan.
Once the pan is hot, spread the prepared dosa mixture and shape it into a round shape. You can also pour ghee on top of it to fry it.
When the bottom of the dosa is golden and crisp, turn it over and fry the next side thoroughly. Similarly, prepare the remaining dosas from the remaining mixture.
Now you should eat it hot. Transfer the prepared sabudana dosa to a plate and eat it with cold yogurt, peanut chutney, or fast food chutney.
