New Delhi: Following a protest by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), the Delhi Police has swung into action regarding the accused involved in the attack on Sanjay Kumar, father of Nishu Azad. The police have detained the accused from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He has been brought to the Chola police station in Bulandshahr, where he is currently being interrogated.
The attack on Sanjay Kumar had been mentioned by Bhardwaj in a podcast. A controversy erupted as soon as the video went viral. Leaders from the Cockroach Janata Party, the Indian National Congress, and the Azad Samaj Party raised the issue and lodged complaints at the police station.

CJP Gheraoed the Police Station
As the video went viral, the Cockroach Janata Party, Azad Samaj Party, and Congress questioned the government and the Delhi Police regarding the matter. Shortly thereafter, leaders and activists including Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das from the CJP, Vinod Jakhar from the Congress student wing, and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad arrived at the Sansad Marg police station in Delhi.
They surprised everyone by unanimously demanding appropriate action against Bhardwaj. These leaders exerted pressure on the Delhi Police through dialogue; discussions lasted for about two hours.
Ultimately, the Delhi Police accepted the demand and assured that a case would be registered against the accused under the SC/ST Act. Additionally, a fresh medical examination of the victim, Sanjay Kumar, will be conducted. A case of attempted murder will be registered based on the medical report. The police also assured that the accused would be arrested within 72 hours.
What Did the CJP Founder Say?
Addressing the gravity of the situation, Abhijit Deepak, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, issued a strong statement. He noted that the Delhi Police had finally registered a case against that “Sanghi goon” and stated that he would be arrested within 72 hours. He remarked that it took two months and a protest just to get an FIR registered for a hate crime that had occurred right in front of the police. Fix the Police Department!

Here are the details of the case
For context, this matter relates to a protest held by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ at Jantar Mantar. Sanjay Kumar, the father of Nishu Azad, was assaulted during the event and sustained severe head injuries. Following the incident, the CJP had been consistently demanding that the Delhi Police arrest the accused, yet no concrete action had been taken.
A recently surfaced podcast clip has given a new turn to the case. In this viral video, Swatantra Bhardwaj openly claimed that he was the one who struck Sanjay Kumar on the head. Furthermore, he stated that no significant legal action has been taken against him so far due to political influence.
