New Delhi: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Congress party has carried out a major reshuffle of its state committee. Aradhana Mishra has been appointed as the State President, while Imran Masood will serve as the State Working President. This significant decision by the Congress comes before the announcement of the Assembly election schedule. Imran Masood’s appointment is surprising, given his history of frequently speaking out against Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Meanwhile, upon assuming the role of UP Congress President, she made a major announcement regarding alliances. She acknowledged that while time is short and challenges are numerous ahead of the Assembly elections, the party is prepared to face them. She expressed confidence that the Congress would take all leaders and the youth along in this journey.

Immediately after her appointment as the head of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Aradhana Mishra issued a significant statement. She clearly stated that time is limited and challenges abound, but the party will confront them all. She expressed confidence that the Congress would move forward by uniting all leaders and the youth.
She also affirmed that the party would uphold the principles of the alliance. Furthermore, she predicted the formation of an ‘INDIA’ alliance government in 2027. Aradhana expressed her gratitude to the top leadership for entrusting her with this responsibility. When asked by a news agency how she views the situation—considering the challenges and the alliance—she began by thanking the party’s top leadership. She expressed her gratitude to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
Will discharge responsibilities with honesty and dedication
State President Aradhana Mishra stated that the Congress high command has entrusted her with a major responsibility, which she intends to fulfil with complete dedication and honesty. She acknowledged that the circumstances this time are not easy; time is short, and challenges are significant. The elections are scheduled for 2027, and alongside this, the obligations of the alliance must also be honoured. The party must manage the responsibilities of the alliance alongside its own preparations.
Despite this, she expressed confidence. She stated that the Congress is a large family that benefits from the guidance of senior leaders while also having the support of the youth. Drawing on this collective strength, the party will work to meet this challenge. According to Aradhana Mishra, it is on the strength of this unity that the INDIA alliance will form the government in 2027.
