Captain Machhar is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The Indian Embassy and the Indian Consulate in Jeddah are monitoring his health. He is being continuously assisted in his treatment with all possible assistance. According to the information received, his condition is stated to be stable and he is receiving the necessary medical attention.

Indian Captain Smit Machhar is an experienced commercial pilot with over 13 years of flying experience. Before joining FlyDubai, he worked for SpiceJet for nearly 11 years. He joined FlyDubai as a direct entry captain in June 2022 and has been a captain for FlyDubai ever since.
