Nowadays, there are many types of face washes available in the market for skin care, but it is not easy for everyone to buy expensive products, hence a budget-friendly face wash can be prepared from some easily available and home-made ingredients. Ingredients like gram flour, curd, aloe vera and turmeric have been used in Indian homes for skin care since a long time.

  • Homemade Gram Flour Face Wash

Gram flour is an easy and affordable option. It can be used as a cleanser. Take a teaspoon of gram flour in a small bowl and mix it with a little water or rose water to make a thin paste. Apply this mixture to the face with light hands and massage it very gently for about 20 to 30 seconds. After this, rinse your face with water.

Gram flour helps remove dirt and grime from the skin. Instead of using it daily, it is better to use it a few times a week depending on your skin type, especially when the skin is dry.

  • Aloe Vera Cleanser

Aloe vera gel is also a home remedy. If you have completely clean and pure water, apply a little to your face, massage it in gently, and then rinse it off with water. Aloe vera helps keep your skin soft and hydrated.

If you’re buying commercial aloe vera gel, choose one that doesn’t have any unnecessary fragrance. Even if you’re using raw aloe vera extracted from the plant, it’s a good idea to test it on a small area first.

  • Use of Yogurt

Yogurt contains lactic acid, so some people use it to soften their skin. Take a spoonful of yogurt and apply it sparingly to your face, then rinse it off after a few minutes.

  • Use Turmeric with Caution

Turmeric is readily available in Indian homes and is traditionally used for skin care. However, excessive use of turmeric on the face can cause irritation in some people. So, if you must use it, use it sparingly and in conjunction with other gentle ingredients.

  • Choose according to your skin type.

A mild, ground flour cleanser may be useful for aloe vera skin. Those with dry skin should avoid over-exfoliating. For sensitive skin, a gentle cleanser with minimal ingredients may be a better option. For pimples or other skin-related issues, don’t rely solely on home remedies; consult a dermatologist.
