New Delhi: A major administrative reshuffle has taken place in the capital, Delhi, involving the transfer of IPS and DANIPS officers within the Delhi Police. The Home Department of the Delhi Government issued orders on August 18, 2026, regarding the transfer and posting of 43 IPS and DANIPS officers. This order was issued following the approval of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board.

IPS officer Garima Bhatnagar (1994 batch) has been moved from Special Commissioner (EOW) to Special Commissioner (EOW) and MD/DPHCL.
IPS officer Manish Agarwal (1996 batch) has been posted as Special Commissioner (PSD), moving from his previous role as Special Commissioner (Traffic).
IPS Ajay Chaudhary has been assigned the responsibility of Special Commissioner (Traffic), moving from Special Commissioner (PSD).
IPS David Lalrinsanga has been appointed as Special Commissioner (Operations – PCR & Communication) and given additional responsibility for SPUWAC and SPUNER.
IPS Atul Katiyar has been moved from Vigilance to the role of Special Commissioner (Welfare & Legal Division).
