He is facing significant trolling for a stunt performed within the Parliament complex, where he dressed as a sadhu (ascetic) to highlight the issue of theft of offerings at the Ram Mandir. He has come under fire from both opposition parties and his own allies. Ramgopal Yadav, a senior Samajwadi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP, made a strong statement questioning Pappu Yadav’s dramatic act within the Parliament premises.
Ramgopal Yadav stated that sadhus and saints have nothing to do with the theft of donations. He remarked that what Yadav did in Parliament was wrong and should not have happened. He added that while the Samajwadi Party would continue to raise the issue of donation theft, Pappu Yadav should not have appeared in that specific attire; the saints are not involved in this episode. He also mentioned that he did not wish to comment on other parties.
Ramgopal questions the protest held in the Parliament complex
An FIR has been lodged against Congress leader and Raebareli MP Rahul Gandhi, Pappu Yadav, and Awadhesh Prasad following the alleged insult to Sanatan Dharma. Ramgopal Yadav has now responded to the matter, stating that the protest staged within the Parliament complex was entirely inappropriate. He reiterated that saints have no connection to the theft at the Ram Mandir.
Fundamentally, he deemed the act wrong and criticised the protest. He observed that when a government fails to engage in constructive work, there is no room for constructive expression to emerge. Instead, the focus shifts to creating a narrative contemplating how to twist facts and shift the blame onto others.

Opposition parties have launched a campaign against the government regarding the theft of offerings at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Slogans concerning the theft of donations and offerings are being raised daily. Several political parties, including the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, are prominently highlighting this issue and have been seen protesting about it within the Parliament complex. A protest was held within the Parliament complex on Monday regarding the issue of police action against students during demonstrations in Delhi. Opposition parties are demanding a response from Amit Shah in Parliament.

A large number of opposition MPs gathered in front of the Makar Dwar (Capricorn Gate) of the Parliament complex and raised slogans against Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding that he provide an answer. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, SP MP Dharmendra Yadav, and several other leaders participated in this protest. Amidst this, senior Samajwadi Party leader Ramgopal Yadav made a significant remark.

Rajya Sabha MP Ramgopal Yadav stated that people’s sentiments had been deeply hurt by the alleged theft of offerings meant for the Ram Mandir. He asserted that the government must bring the truth of the matter to light and that action must be taken against those responsible without delay. While expressing his views, Ramgopal Yadav also questioned the theatrics displayed by Pappu Yadav.
