New Delhi: It had begun to seem as though everything in the Middle East would soon be resolved. Differences between the US and Iran were steadily diminishing. However, rumblings of conflict have resurfaced, and Western Asia appears to be inching toward a major war once again. Talk of war has been ignited by a warning from US President Donald Trump.
Donald Trump declared that the interim agreement with Iran is now over for him. In an angry tone, he stated that negotiating with Tehran is a waste of time. Concurrently, the US has launched a series of rapid-fire attacks on various Iranian targets. These strikes have heightened tensions between the two nations, raising the question of whether the last hope for dialogue has vanished.

US-Iran Peace Agreement Ends
The interim agreement aimed at averting war between the US and Iran is on the verge of collapse. US President Donald Trump issued a clear warning that the deal is dead and there will be no further talks with Tehran. Trump is currently in Turkey to attend a NATO summit. Military activity between the two nations has intensified once more, and the clouds of renewed tension and conflict are gathering over Western Asia.
US Targets Iranian Military Installations
The US has launched fresh attacks on Iran. US forces conducted large-scale military strikes in southern Iran, targeting military installations in Bandar Abbas, Sirik, and Qeshm Island. According to Washington, Iran had attacked commercial vessels near the Strait of Hormuz.
This action was taken in retaliation. The US has also revoked waivers related to Iranian oil sales. Following the US strikes, the Iranian military launched missiles towards Bahrain and Kuwait. Consequently, the ceasefire negotiation process appears to have collapsed once again. Trump Says Patience Has Run Out
Donald Trump stated that, in his view, the deal with Iran is now virtually dead. He remarked that he no longer wishes to engage in talks with Tehran, as nothing would be achieved. While he noted that US officials could continue discussions if they so desired, he saw no prospect of a positive outcome. Commenting on Iran’s leadership, he alleged that if they possessed nuclear weapons, they would not hesitate to use them; he added that his patience regarding this issue has completely run out.

Iran Will Not Bow to Pressure
Following US military action, Iran issued a clear warning to the United States, stating that it would not yield to any pressure. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and a key figure involved in negotiations with the US, alleged that the United States had violated all the terms of the interim agreement.
He further stated that interference in Iran’s maritime operations, the reimposition of oil sanctions, and attacks on southern Iran violated the terms of the agreement, adding that a response to these US actions would be forthcoming.
