Many people connect constant itching with liver problems, but it can also happen because of a deficiency of important vitamins and nutrients in the body. Itching is not always just an external skin problem, as it may indicate an internal health condition. Deficiency of vitamins like Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and iron can also trigger frequent itching and skin irritation.

In many cases, itching is associated with poor liver function. An imbalance in bile levels produced by the liver can also increase irritation and itching on the skin. Allergic reactions to certain foods, medicines, cosmetics, or environmental factors can make the condition worse. Continuous itching should never be ignored, especially if it affects daily life, sleep, or causes redness, rashes, and skin discomfort regularly.

There are several simple ways to get quick relief from itching at home. Keeping calamine lotion can be helpful, as it provides a cooling effect on the skin and helps calm irritation and itching. It is safe for both adults and children. Applying an ice pack or rubbing ice wrapped in a cloth on the affected area may also reduce redness, swelling, and discomfort caused by excessive scratching. Natural oils like coconut oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil, and eucalyptus oil are also beneficial because of their anti-inflammatory properties. These oils soothe the skin, reduce burning sensations, and provide relief from constant itching and irritation.
