New Delhi: The government and opposition political parties are now at loggerheads over the ECI (Election Commission of India), with both sides trading accusations. Amidst this, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has launched a sharp attack on the ‘INDIA’ alliance. Referring to the protests by the ‘INDIA’ alliance and CJP (Citizens for Justice and Peace) against the ECI and Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, he stated that there is a deliberate attempt to incite political confrontation and instability. He asserted that the opposition’s sole agenda is to completely dismantle democratic institutions. Rajnath Singh’s remarks were directed specifically at statements made by senior advocate Prashant Bhushan and CJP President Neha Bora.
Opposition seeks to gain power by spreading anarchy – Rajnath Singh.
Speaking at a press conference in Lucknow, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made several significant points. He noted that there is talk of a “regime change” along the lines of what occurred in Bangladesh, openly discussed during press conferences. He remarked that they are brazenly calling for the toppling of the government. Their only agenda, he alleged, is to destroy democratic institutions and set the country ablaze.

In this context, he pointed to the statements made by advocate Prashant Bhushan and CJP President Neha Bora; both had recently met with Rahul Gandhi. Rajnath Singh further highlighted the use of terms like “regime change.
This makes it clear that their struggle is not for electoral reform, nor is it about the ECI, Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, or the bright future of the youth. Instead, it is an attempt to seize power by creating anarchy within the country.
Respect for the law is essential to maintain order.r
Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh stated, “I would like to tell Rahul Gandhi and his associates that they must understand that democracy is not a license to spread anarchy, undermine the credibility of constitutional institutions, or obstruct India’s developmental journey.” I believe the remark made by the Supreme Court yesterday also points in this direction. Respecting the law is essential for maintaining law and order.

Rajnath Singh’s advice to Rahul Gandhi
Rajnath Singh has offered some advice to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. He stated, “My advice to Rahul Gandhi is that, instead of engaging in the ‘politics of disruption’ in the name of protecting democracy, he should respect the popular mandate and reflect upon his own political role, especially when it concerns the future of India.
