Parliament Monsoon Session enters Day 4 with expected opposition protests over the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, demanding a response from PM Modi.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha would be discussing Operation Sindoor on July 28 and July 29, respectively. 16–16 hours have been set aside for debate in both houses, according to media reports.

From July 21 to August 21, the Parliament will be in session for 32 days during the monsoon season. Over 15 bills will be introduced during this time, and there will be 18 meetings. Since August 13–14 is Independence Day, there will be no parliamentary sessions. During the monsoon session, seven outstanding bills will be considered and eight new laws will be introduced by the central government. These include the Income Tax Bill, the National Sports Governance Bill, the Manipur GST Amendment Bill 2025, and other laws.
The Lok Sabha will hear the report of the parliamentary committee on the new Income Tax Bill on the first day. 285 recommendations have been made by the committee. The six-decade-old Income Tax Act 1961 will be replaced by the 622-page measure.
Rahul Gandhi remarked on Wednesday, following his participation in the monsoon session in Parliament, “Trump has asserted 25 times that he mediated a truce between India and Pakistan.” Who is he? His job is not this. The prime minister of India says nothing at all. He has never once reacted to Trump’s allegations. How is the Prime Minister going to respond? How is he going to explain that Trump has reached a deal with Pakistan?

The world is aware that Trump declared a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Rahul added. The world is aware that this is true, even yet PM Modi is unable to express it. Those who identify as patriots have fled.
Both houses were adjourned many times until being adjourned for the day shortly after lunch. It has been just as stormy on day three. Another development in the current monsoon session of the parliament is the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
