Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana : The Odisha government is running many schemes for the citizens of its country, which benefits the citizens there, in which schemes are made keeping in mind the people of every class, the scheme we are going to talk about is a scheme run by the Odisha government which is being run under the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Its benefit is given to economically weak elderly citizens and widowed women. Under this scheme, all the beneficiaries coming under the State Old Age Pension Scheme and Odisha Disability Pension Scheme are eligible under this scheme.
What is Madhu Babu Pension Yojana?
Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana is a scheme run by the Odisha government for the purpose of social welfare, in which financial assistance is given to the elderly, widows and disabled citizens so that they can live their lives well and do not depend on anyone, for this monthly pension is given by the government. This scheme was started on 1 January 2008, which is managed by the Women and Child Development Department of Odisha, under this scheme a maximum monthly pension of ₹ 700 is given.
Eligibility
- Permanent residents of Odisha can apply for the Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana.
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, the age of the applicant should be 60 years or more.
- Widows or widows of AIDS patients are eligible for this scheme.
- In this scheme, those applicants who are disabled for 5 years or more are eligible to apply in this scheme.
- Unmarried women of BPL category are eligible in this scheme.
- The benefit of this scheme will be available only if the annual income of the applicant is not more than 24000 per year.
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, the applicant should not get the benefit of any other pension given by the government.

Benefits of the scheme
Under the Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana, applicants are given a monthly pension. Applicants between the ages of 60 and 79 are given a pension of Rs. 500, while applicants above the age of 80 are given a pension of Rs. 700 per month. The date of payment of pension is on the 15th of every month, which is distributed through Jan Seva Kendras in the denomination of Rs. 100.
