New Delhi: While the capital has not yet forgotten the Gen-Z protest against the NEET paper leak held under the banner of the ‘Cockroach JanataParty ‘,’ a new movement has emerged among the youth in Ranchi. Protests regarding issues like exam paper leaks are underway in Ranchi as well, and Gen-Z is playing a pivotal role in scaling up this movement.
Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati addressed a press conference in Lucknow on Tuesday, making a significant statement. She urged Gen-Z youth to steer clear of such conspiracies and offered advice on how to address their grievances.
Mayawati’s Advice to the Youth
During the press conference in Lucknow, BSP chief Mayawati appealed to the country’s Gen-Z youth to distance themselves from the alleged conspiracies involving both the government and the opposition. She advised young people to navigate the political landscape carefully when seeking solutions to their problems, warning that both the ruling party and the opposition could exploit them for selfish political gain.
Mayawati further noted the immense anger prevailing among students and the youth. She claimed that during the BSP’s tenure, students and young people were never left disillusioned. The former CM accused the government of weakening the public sector while promoting the private sector; she argued that this trend is continuously strengthening the country’s capitalists while the poor and unemployed from all sections of society are being left further behind.
Reservation Should Extend to the Private Sector: Mayawati
The BSP chief launched a scathing attack on the BJP and Congress. She stated that, unlike these parties, her government did not operate based on a casteist or capitalist mindset. She emphasised that the BSP has always governed based on the principle of “Sarvajan Hitay” (the welfare of all).
She pointed out that reservation benefits for Dalits, Adivasis, and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) have become negligible. Despite this, she alleged, members of the RSS are actively working to render reservation ineffective. Mayawati demanded that reservation be implemented in the private sector, just as it exists for government jobs. What did Mayawati say regarding the assembly elections?
Former Chief Minister Mayawati noted that elections are due soon in UP, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. Amidst the prevailing political climate, she appealed to all sections of society to ensure the BSP’s success, describing it as the need of the hour in the interest of the nation and the public.
She further stated that strengthening the BSP would safeguard the interests of all communities, enabling every segment of society, including students, tribals, backward classes, Muslims, farmers, labourers, traders, employees, and minorities, es to lead prosperous lives.
