According to the latest report by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell, domestic consumption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in India fell by 15.9 per cent to 11.3 million tonnes during the period from April to August 2026, down from 13.4 million tonnes during the same period last year. Notably, this decline has occurred at a time when the government has intensified its efforts to expand connections and encourage the use of clean cooking fuel in households under the National PNG Drive.
