Delhi Police Arrests Two Accused From Uttarakhand In Youth Murder Case

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have made a significant breakthrough in the murder case of a young man in Delhi, arresting two accused individuals. Both were apprehended in Uttarakhand following a 550-kilometer pursuit. Interrogation of the suspects is expected to yield crucial details.

The incident occurred in the Lal Bagh area of ​​North-West Delhi. Although the police had been conducting raids at various locations to apprehend the suspects, the accused had remained at large. Efforts were also underway to gather information by tracing their locations. The police are now poised to delve deeper into the case.

Police Reveal Key Details

The stabbing death of a 27-year-old man in the Lal Bagh area of ​​North-West Delhi had caused a stir. On Sunday, the Delhi Police announced that the prime suspect, Aman (alias Mulla), and his associate, Anuj (alias Moni), were taken into custody near the Chhapar toll plaza while traveling in a rented vehicle.

According to officials, Anuj was also implicated in another murder case registered at the Jahangirpuri police station. The police have recovered the rented vehicle and two mobile phones from the accused. A senior police officer stated, “The incident took place on August 12 in the Lal Bagh slum cluster of Azadpur. Police had received reports of a stabbing and a shooting in connection with the case.”

The injured youth was immediately rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased bore gunshot wounds on his abdomen and back, as well as stab wounds on his back. Given the gravity of the situation, a case was registered at the Adarsh ​​Nagar police station, and a special team was constituted to investigate the matter.

Information Received About Accused Fleeing to Uttarakhand

The Delhi Police received information that the accused had fled to Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Subsequently, the police attempted to trace their location and dispatched a team to the area, where a close watch was kept on their movements. An official stated that the accused were constantly moving to new locations to evade arrest.

Acting on information obtained through technical surveillance and informants, police officers pursued them for approximately 550 kilometers before cornering and arresting them near the Chhapar toll plaza. According to the police, the second accused has been identified as Anuj, who was involved in a murder in Jahangirpuri. Meanwhile, the police stated that Aman, a resident of Lal Bagh, is implicated in six previously registered criminal cases.
