Strong tremors of earthquake were felt in the country’s capital Delhi at 5:36 am Yesterday, after which people living nearby panicked and came out of their houses. The intensity of the earthquake was measured by seismograph, although its intensity was four on the Richter scale, but even after that the tremors were felt quite strongly.
In Delhi NCR Earthquake, people felt strong tremors of earthquake early in the morning, after which the people living there got terrified. The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that an atmosphere of fear spread among the people, this earthquake lasted only 4 to 5 seconds but its intensity was measured four on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near Delhi
The epicenter of the Delhi NCR Earthquake was near Delhi, due to which tremors were felt in many areas around Delhi NCR like Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Sonipat, Meerut, etc. The tremor was so intense that people clearly felt it, after which people living in the building got terrified.
Why do earthquakes occur?
On Monday morning, Delhi NCR Earthquake created panic among the people, tremors were felt in Delhi due to the earthquake. The main reason for earthquakes is when tectonic plates pull and collide with each other, this creates tension, due to which an energy is created and because of this these plates either move away from each other or collide, due to which tremors are felt, earthquakes occur due to the collision of these plates.

What should be done when an earthquake occurs?
You should not panic when an earthquake occurs. Due to panic you are not able to take right decisions. Whenever an earthquake occurs, you should move away from all kinds of trees, plants and buildings as much as possible and try to go to an empty place. Besides this, if you are in a tall building and you feel the tremors of an earthquake, you should stand at a place in a corner because in such a situation it may not be possible to go down. If possible, go out immediately and come to an open field.
