New Delhi: CM Yogi Adityanath visited the city of Lord Ram for the first time following the report on the theft of offerings at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. On Tuesday, he visited the Ram Mandir, sought blessings from Ram Lalla, and held discussions with Trust officials. He was accorded a grand welcome by the Trust officials and the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jitendra Mishra.
During a meeting held near the greenhouse within the complex, the CM issued clear directives regarding the smooth operation of the temple. He emphasized the need for transparency in all aspects of temple management and stressed the importance of always prioritizing the needs of visiting devotees.
He also instructed that all possible measures be taken to ensure a hassle-free darshan (viewing) experience for devotees. During the meeting with Trust officials, CM Yogi directed that a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) be established by clearly defining the CEO’s duties and responsibilities.
CEO Meets CM Yogi for the First Time
This marked the first meeting between CM Yogi Adityanath and CEO Jitendra Mishra at the Ram Mandir; Mishra had visited the site for the second time since his appointment to the Trust. Following formal greetings, the CEO accompanied the CM to facilitate his darshan and worship of Ram Lalla and welcomed him to the premises.
Also present on the occasion were Trust Treasurer Mahesh Bhagchandka, Trustee Krishna Mohan Pandey, Minister-in-charge Surya Pratap Shahi, Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, Secretary Jagdish Afle, Project Director of Tata Consulting Engineers Vinod Kumar Shukla, and other officials.
After the darshan of Ram Lalla, the CM held a brief meeting with the CEO, Trust officials, and staff in the greenhouse. Addressing Trust officials including Interim General Secretary Krishna Mohan and Treasurer Mahesh Bhagchandka he stated that since the new CEO had assumed charge, an SOP should be formulated for his role as a priority.
CM Yogi Offers Key Advice to Ram Mandir CEO
He advised that the handling of funds and jewelry donated by devotees be conducted transparently. Additionally, he suggested that festivals be organized effectively and in accordance with tradition, in consultation with local seers and saints. He also emphasized the need to provide the best possible facilities for visiting devotees. Emphasis was placed on coordinating with the police administration to organize facilities that ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience. In a discussion with the CEO, the Chief Minister directed that all tasks be executed under close personal supervision. He instructed that facilities for devotees be provided on par with other prominent temples across the country and that work be carried out in coordination with the trust’s office-bearers. The goal is for visiting devotees to return home with a distinct and positive impression of the place.
