New Delhi: Brijbhushan Singh, a prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former MP, frequently makes headlines. He is known for his simple demeanor and strong rapport with the public. Did you know that another member of his family is set to enter Uttar Pradesh politics? You might be wondering who it is. In fact, former MP Brijbhushan Singh’s daughter, Shalini Singh, is preparing to step into the political arena of UP.

Shalini Singh herself has expressed a desire to enter politics. This announcement has sparked a fresh wave of speculation within UP political circles. She shared this information during an event held in Bulandshahr, stating that she has decided to become fully active in politics.

Indications of Entering Politics

On Monday, during an event in Bulandshahr, Brijbhushan Singh’s daughter surprised everyone by hinting at her plans to enter politics. She remarked that one’s political identity is forged not by a specific party or ticket, but through effective leadership and service to the public.

“If the top leadership of a party asks me to contest an election, I am ready to enter the electoral fray,” she said. This statement comes at a time when only a few months remain before the bugle for the UP Assembly elections is sounded. It is clear that Shalini Singh could potentially try her luck from any constituency in the UP elections.

Will Shalini Singh Contest from Noida?

During the event, Shalini Singh also highlighted the work she has done for her community. She mentioned that she has been actively involved in social work in Noida for the past 15 years, which is why she now wishes to enter Indian politics.

She further stated that she does not rely on any specific party or the opposition; instead, she believes in raising her voice for the right issues. Whenever significant social issues arise whether it is the UGC matter or anything else she openly and fearlessly expresses her views.

Family members active in UP politics

For context, Shalini Singh is the daughter of former BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. Her father has served as an MP from the Kaiserganj constituency six times. Both her brothers are deeply involved in politics. Furthermore, her mother, Ketvi Devi, has also served as an MP. Her elder brother, Prateek Bhushan Singh, is an MLA from the Gonda Sadar seat, while her younger brother is the MP for the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency.

Additionally, members of her in-laws’ family have also been active in politics. She is married to Vishal, the only son of former MPs Ajit Singh and Meena Singh from Arrah, Bihar. Shalini resides in Noida with her family and is associated with the women’s wing of the RSS.
