People are beginning to experience colder conditions, particularly during the mornings and evenings. A drop in temperature is being recorded across North India, including the capital, Delhi; this has brought relief from the heat and introduced a mild wintry feel. Rainfall in various parts of South India has led to a drop in temperatures, offering relief from the heat. Rainy conditions also persist in the northeastern states. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for heavy rainfall across several states. Details regarding the weather forecast for specific regions are provided below.

Alert for Torrential Rain in 23 States
According to the IMD, alerts have been issued for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat. Additionally, heavy rainfall alerts are in place for Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Bihar. The IMD has also issued alerts for torrential rain in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Delhi.
Rain is also expected in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam. Southern states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka may witness spells of torrential rain. During this period, average wind speeds could reach up to 50 km/h.
Weather Forecast for Delhi
The IMD has clarified the weather outlook for the capital, Delhi. A slight drop in temperature is expected in the capital tonight. No rainfall alert has been issued for Delhi; the skies are expected to remain clear tomorrow. The maximum temperature in Delhi is forecast to range between 33°C and 35°C. The minimum temperature is likely to range between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 29 km/h.

Heavy rainfall likely in UP as well
The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall alert for Mainpuri, Hardoi, Kanpur, Etah, Agra, Mathura, Bareilly, and Kasganj. Heavy rain is also predicted for Prayagraj, Meerut, and Hardoi, with wind speeds expected to reach 45–50 km/h. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature tomorrow (October 3) is likely to be 34°C, while the minimum is expected to be 24°C.
Weather in Bihar
According to the IMD, an alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Katihar, Kishanganj, Samastipur, East Champaran, Gaya, Munger, and Purnia. The Meteorological Department has also warned of torrential rain in Vaishali, Jehanabad, and Bhagalpur, with a likelihood of gusty winds reaching speeds of 50 km/h. In Patna, the maximum temperature tomorrow (October 3) is expected to reach 33°C, with a minimum of 24°C.
