Recently, Pakistan has launched a cracking On Afghan Citizens. under the deportation drive, more than 8,000 afghan refugees have been sent back to aghanistan since arpil 1. pakistan had given afghan nationals a deadline until march 31 to leave the country. after the deadline ended strict action began against those who stayed. according to the reports, around 8,115 afghans have been deported through the torkham border since april1. most of them were arrested from different areas in punjab before being sent back. the Pakistani government continues to detain and deport afghan nationals every day as part of this ongoing campaign.

The deportation drive is being carried out more more strictly in pakistan’s punjab province. authorities are actively arresting hundreds of afghan natioanls from the region every day. after being detained, these afghans are first taken to transit camps. at the transit camps, necessary procedures are completed before they are set back to afghanistan. among those detained and deported are women and children as well. the pakistan government continues to push forwards with this operation despite of growing the conern frominternational human right groups. now, the government is taking the strict measures to remove the afghan nationals who are living in pakistan illegally.
