New Delhi: The controversy surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is widening. Demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar are being raised, citing alleged flaws in the SIR process across various states. The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), which previously secured the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET exam leak,k is once again gearing up for a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

The CJP has called upon its supporters to gather in Delhi on October 10 to participate in this nationwide movement. Meanwhile, amidst the SIR controversy, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke has launched a scathing attack on his critics. In a post on the social media platform X, he effectively countered attempts to undermine the CJP’s credibility and reputation.

What did Abhijit Deepke say?

CJP founder Abhijit Deepke delivered a sharp retort to his critics. He stated that while he has a lot to say about them, engaging in such a debate would yield no benefit. Deepke noted that some individuals are actively trying to tarnish the CJP’s image.

He added that although he could speak at length on this issue, he does not wish to expend his energy on such debates. Deepke emphasised that his primary focus remains on the youth and the issues for which the CJP is raising its voice.

Youth frustrated by political instability: Deepke

In his post, Abhijit Deepke also criticised political parties, stating that a large section of the youth is frustrated by the internal infighting and power struggles within these parties. According to Deepke, political parties are more interested in boosting their own political standing than in addressing the problems of the very people they claim to represent. This is Deepke’s political view; he has also expressed it in his social media posts.

CJP’s Formation: A Coincidence

Regarding the formation of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), Deepke stated that its inception was a coincidence. It instilled hope in lakhs of young people. He emphasised the need for the organisation to work for the youth and address their issues. Abhijit Deepke also remarked that there is no point in wasting time and energy fighting against those who have already decided to malign the CJP.

CJP Takes to the Streets Against the Election Commission

Did you know that the CJP has been protesting against the electoral process and the Election Commission of India (ECI) for quite some time? The organisation has raised questions about the Election Commission’s functioning and demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Earlier in October, the CJP also staged a protest in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the CJP had previously announced campaigns addressing issues relevant to the youth, such as unemployment and education. In August, the organisation unveiled a nationwide campaign titled ‘Kya Bolti Public’ (What Does the Public Say).
