Following the election defeat, Donald Trump has broken his silence. He attributed the loss in the midterm elections to the ongoing conflict with Iran. Trump added that if he had to do it all over again, he would take the same course of action. Previously, U.S. Vice President-elect JD Vance had also pointed to the conflict with Iran as a reason for the defeat.
What Trump said about the Democrats

President Donald Trump stated that he is open to working with the Democrats, provided they do not adopt a destructive approach. He noted that he possesses veto power, and if he disapproves of their actions, he can intervene. He mentioned that he has already received a phone call from them, as they wish to discuss certain issues.
You cannot allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons — Trump
Donald Trump further remarked, “Well, I think that is largely true, as it did lead to a temporary spike in gasoline prices. But if I had to do it again, I would do the same thing, because, in the long run, it is the only solution.” He emphasised that Iran cannot be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons.
“You have no other choice. I anticipated that oil prices would rise even further, and it was based on that assessment that I took this action. You simply have no other option.” You must do this. You cannot allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons. Otherwise, everything you see here today might one day cease to exist.

On Wednesday afternoon, at an event held at the White House ballroom construction site, Trump arrived holding a microphone to sign a structural beam. Behind him stood a panel bearing the signatures of the construction workers. He provided detailed information regarding the ceiling height, the Corinthian-style columns, and the building’s floor plan.
Regarding the location of the kitchen, Donald Trump remarked that placing it on an upper level would have necessitated the removal of three walls. He also mentioned that the owner of the quarry from which he sourced the stone was initially unwilling to sell it.
