Rahul Gandhi has received a major relief from the court. Following this, the entire Congress party is celebrating. The court has given Rahul Gandhi a clean chit in the defamation case, acquitting him. This case involved comments made against Amit Shah. The Sultanpur court has taken a significant decision in this matter, granting Rahul Gandhi a significant relief.

Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has now been cleared of his alleged controversial comments against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The court has granted him significant legal relief in the defamation case. The case was heard in the special MP-MLA court in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where he was acquitted on Monday. The case was heard today, and Chief Judicial Magistrate Shubham Verma delivered the verdict, declaring Rahul innocent. Rahul Gandhi was also present during the hearing.

The entire matter is related to a 2018 comment

This is not a new case, but rather an old one from 2018. This is an old case in which the court has granted Rahul Gandhi significant relief today. This case dates back to the Karnataka Assembly elections, during which Rahul Gandhi held a rally in Bengaluru. He made a statement at that rally, sparking controversy. At the time of this statement, Amit Shah was the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The complainant filed a lawsuit alleging that Rahul Gandhi had mentioned Amit Shah as an accused in a murder case in his statement, which constituted defamation. The case proceeded, arguments were heard, and today the court delivered its verdict, acquitting Rahul Gandhi.

This case was filed by BJP leader Vijay Mishra against Rahul Gandhi on August 4, 2018, as a defamation complaint. The complainant alleged that this statement harmed Amit Shah’s reputation and image, and that Rahul Gandhi’s comments were objectionable. The matter subsequently reached court, and the legal process began.

As soon as the legal process began, both parties were heard in court. Let us now recount the arguments that transpired in court. Prior to the hearing, Rahul Gandhi was summoned to appear in court in November 2023. Subsequently, he appeared in the Khed Sultanpur court on February 20, 2024, where he was granted bail. During the trial, both sides presented their arguments, presenting their respective points. Subsequently, extensive debate ensued, and the court set October 26, 2026, for the verdict. Today, the case has been decided, and Rahul has been given a clean chit.

In the verdict delivered today, Monday, the court acquitted Rahul Gandhi. This means the court did not accept the defamation case against Rahul.

All the allegations leveled against Rahul Gandhi during the trial were not proven.

The court’s verdict in this case has now come, and the direct verdict means that Rahul Gandhi is not guilty and neither did he make any objectionable comments about Shah. Now, after this court’s decision, there is a wave of happiness among the entire Congress party workers. People are celebrating and saying that truth always prevails.

It should be noted that this case was filed in the year 2018, and after eight years, Rahul has achieved a major success in it, which is a big relief.
