PM Kisan Yojana

New Delhi: Farmers across the country anticipated that the central government would release the 24th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana before Diwali, and that is exactly what has happened. The central government has announced the release of an instalment of ₹2,000 on October 30, 2026. More than 90 million (9 crore) farmers are set to benefit from this instalment. This official announcement has brought joy to the farmers.

The government has taken this step to ensure farmers have a happy Diwali. To receive the instalment, farmers must complete certain essential requirements to avoid any complications; failing to do so could lead to issues, potentially resulting in the instalment amount getting stuck.

Find out which farmers will receive the funds.

To avail the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, certain official procedures must be completed. If you are a beneficiary, you should periodically verify your details to ensure that all information in your PM Kisan account is accurate and complete. Often, farmers overlook these checks, which can prevent the instalment amount from being credited to their accounts.

If your e-KYC has not been completed, you will not receive the funds. You might wonder how to determine whether your e-KYC is done. You can check your current status to verify if the e-KYC process has been completed for your account.

How to check your status?

To check the latest status of your PM Kisan Yojana account, visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in.

Once on the website, you will see options for “New Farmer Registration” and “Know Your Status” on the right-hand side. Click on “Know Your Status.”

After clicking on “Know Your Status,” enter your registration number and the captcha code, then click on “Get OTP.” An OTP will then be sent to your registered mobile number. You will need to enter this OTP to proceed.

Following this, a report will appear. If your eKYC has been completed, the report will display a green tick; if it has not been completed, it will show a red mark.

You can also check your KYC status through the following methods

First, OTP-based eKYC (available on the PM-Kisan portal and mobile app).

Next, biometric-based eKYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSC) and State Service Centres (SSC)).

Additionally, there is face authentication-based eKYC (available on the PM-Kisan mobile app).

You can complete the eKYC process by downloading the PM-Kisan scheme app. You may then opt for OTP-based eKYC, which is a relatively simpler method.
