New Delhi: The monsoon has weakened in some areas and withdrawn from others. While clouds may still be visible in the sky, the monsoon has already bid farewell to several regions, including North India. However, the next few hours are unlikely to be easy, as weather conditions have turned turbulent across various states. Along with the deteriorating weather, squalls with wind speeds of up to 70 km/h are expected, which could lead to severe conditions.

Heavy rainfall in some hilly areas late at night triggered landslides, blocking roads and disrupting traffic, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning across 14 states.

Warning of Heavy Rain in 14 States

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert for heavy rain has been issued for October 4 in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain is also anticipated in Kerala. Strong winds blowing at speeds of 65 to 70 km/h are likely during this period.

Weather in Delhi

The IMD has issued a warning for rain and squalls on October 4. The maximum temperature in the capital, Delhi, is expected to reach 35°C today, while the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 24°C.

Weather in UP

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Agra, Mathura, Kanpur, and Siddharthnagar. Furthermore, light to heavy rain may occur in Shravasti, Sitapur, Balrampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Maharajganj, and Kushinagar. Strong winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h are expected here. In Lucknow, the maximum temperature tomorrow (October 4) is likely to reach 34°C, while the minimum could be around 24°C.

Weather Outlook for Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, a heavy rain alert has been issued for East Champaran, West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, Gaya, Patna, and Gopalganj. Additionally, heavy rainfall is predicted for Patna, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Araria, Katihar, Purnia, Kishanganj, and Supaul. The IMD has also issued an alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Saharsa, Begusarai, and Bhagalpur. Strong winds at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h are anticipated. In Patna, the maximum temperature tomorrow (October 4) is expected to be 33°C.

Rainfall in Jharkhand

The IMD has predicted moderate rainfall accompanied by strong thunderstorms in Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Chatra, Deoghar, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, East Singhbhum, and Godda. Moderate rain and thunderstorms are also likely in West Singhbhum and Palamu. Strong winds blowing at 40 to 50 km/h are expected. In Ranchi, the maximum temperature tomorrow (October 4) will be 29°C, while the minimum could be around 20°C.
