New Delhi: Weather patterns are shifting across most parts of the country, resulting in a mix of rainfall and sunshine in different regions. While the pace of the monsoon has slowed down significantly, monsoon rains continue to disrupt daily life in several areas. Late-night rainfall in various parts of Uttar Pradesh has led to a drop in temperatures.
Cloudy skies have prevailed since morning in the national capital, Delhi, and its surrounding areas. Drizzle in parts of Delhi-NCR has brought relief from the sultry heat. Thunderstorms accompanied by rain are occurring across various regions of Bihar and Jharkhand, while flood conditions persist in several areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for heavy rainfall in multiple states.

Likelihood of Heavy Rain in 20 States
According to the IMD, heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for September 17 across 20 states, including Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh. Alerts for heavy rain have also been issued for Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal. Additionally, there is a forecast of heavy rainfall in Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Weather Forecast for Delhi
The Meteorological Department predicts a spell of light to moderate rain in Delhi tomorrow, September 17. The IMD has issued a thunderstorm alert, with wind speeds expected to range between 20 and 30 km/h. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to reach 35°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to hover around 24°C.
Weather Forecast for Uttar Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heavy rainfall in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Gonda, Azamgarh, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, and Ghaziabad. Alerts regarding rain and thunderstorms have also been issued for Bahraich, Agra, and Bareilly. An alert has been issued for Lucknow, predicting a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum of 26°C for tomorrow, September 17.

Heavy Rain in Rajasthan
According to the Meteorological Department, warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms have been issued for Ajmer, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Pali, Tonk, Alwar, Dungarpur, and Didwana. An alert regarding wind gusts reaching speeds of 50 to 55 km/h has also been issued. In Jaipur, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 34°C and the minimum 25°C tomorrow, September 17.
Weather Outlook for MP
The IMD has issued heavy rain warnings for Chhindwara, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Dhar, Harda, Dewas, Umaria, Mandla, and Seoni. Additionally, heavy rain warnings are in place for Balaghat, Guna, and Jabalpur. An alert has been issued for gusty winds reaching speeds of 50 to 55 km/h during this period. In Bhopal, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 29°C and the minimum 23°C tomorrow, September 17.
