Likelihood of Heavy Rain in 17 States
The IMD has predicted torrential rain across 17 states today, September 14. According to the IMD, warnings have been issued for most parts of Delhi, UP, Bihar, and Maharashtra. Alerts for heavy rainfall have also been issued for Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana.
The IMD has also forecast heavy rain for Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Assam, Telangana, and Kerala, with wind speeds expected to reach up to 65 km/h in these regions.
Heavy Rain Expected in Delhi
The IMD has predicted torrential rain for the national capital, Delhi, today, September 14. Wind speeds are likely to reach between 30 and 40 km/h. Today, Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to be around 32°C, while the minimum temperature may hover around 26°C.
Rain Warnings for UP and Bihar
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Aligarh, Agra, Meerut, Mathura, Moradabad, Mirzapur, and Maharajganj. Additionally, heavy rain alerts have been issued for Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Pratapgarh. Wind speeds could reach up to 55 km/h in these areas. A forecast has been issued for Lucknow today, September 14, predicting a maximum temperature of 32°C and a minimum of 26°C. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is likely in the Bihar districts of Araria, Ara, Gaya, Gopalganj, Samastipur, and Siwan. Additionally, intense rainfall may occur in Supaul, Saran, Saharsa, East Champaran, Jehanabad, and Vaishali.
According to the IMD, an alert for torrential rain has been issued for Purnia, Bhojpur, Munger, Bhagalpur, and Kishanganj. Wind speeds of up to 50 km/h are expected. In Patna, the temperature today (September 14) is likely to range from a maximum of 33°C to a minimum of 27°C.
Likelihood of Heavy Rain in Rajasthan
The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall in the Rajasthan districts of Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Barmer, Bundi, Baran, Udaipur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, and Jhalawar. The IMD has issued an alert for rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Alwar, Churu, Karauli, Dausa, Kota, and Jaisalmer, with expected wind speeds reaching 65 km/h. In Jaipur, the temperature today (September 14) is expected to hover between a maximum of 31°C and a minimum of 25°C.
Rain in Madhya Pradesh
The IMD has forecast rain in Betul, Balaghat, Seoni, Damoh, Dewas, Anuppur, Agar-Malwa, Vidisha, and Jhabua. An alert for torrential rain has been issued for Katni, Mandla, Dewas, and Ratlam, where wind speeds could reach 60 km/h. For Bhopal, the IMD has forecast a maximum temperature of 28°C and a minimum of 23°C for today, September 14.
