New Delhi: Monsoon rains have brought life to a standstill across various parts of the country, creating a dire situation. Rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, continues to lash many regions. In several places, floodwaters have entered residential areas, causing significant distress to the local population. The onslaught of rain continues across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, affecting both the plains and the mountainous regions. This has led to a substantial rise in the water levels of several rivers in the hills.
