Let us tell you that important news has just emerged regarding YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. The YouTuber has left for London before his appearance in court, and important information has emerged that the Saket Court has also issued a bailable warrant. The Saket Court in Delhi has taken a major step in the 2018 criminal defamation case involving YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. It should be noted that during the hearing on Saturday, October 17, 2026, the court issued a warrant against Dhruv Rathee. This warrant is a bailable warrant issued by the court in the Dhruv Rathee case. During the hearing, his lawyer argued that Rathee is currently in London and therefore unable to appear in person. Given this development, the old defamation case has once again made headlines.

What is the full story?

This case is an old case involving Dhruv Rathee, dating back to May 2018. In this case, Dhruv Rathee published a YouTube video this year, in which he made several comments about the BJP and its current affiliation, titled “BJP IT Cell Part 2.” The complainant, Vikas Sankrityayan, also known as Vikas Pandey, filed the complaint, alleging that the video contained numerous allegations that harmed his reputation. The complainant alleged that the video directly attempted to defame him and those associated with the BJP IT Cell, and a case was filed in this regard. The complainant filed a criminal defamation complaint against Dhruv Rathee based on these allegations. The case is pending in court, and the court has not yet issued a decision on the matter.

Court issued warrant?

Rathi was due to appear in court in this same old case, and during the hearing, the court was informed that summons had previously been issued to Dhruv Rathi, but he was unable to complete the proceedings. When the case was heard on Saturday, Rathi’s lawyer was present in court, and he stated that Rathi was not present, having gone to London and could not appear in person. Following this, the court ordered the issuance of a bailable warrant against him. The next date for this case has now been set. According to media reports, the court has set October 31, 2026, for the next hearing. All eyes are on the decision on this next date.

Summons issued earlier

In this case, the Saket Court had ordered the issuance of fresh summons in October 2026. The complainant also argued in court that Dhruv Rathee had previously been summoned to appear in court, but he failed to appear or complete the proceedings. According to reports, the complainant appealed for the summons to be served promptly and requested an extension of the hearing. Following this, the court granted the order and set a date. Amidst all this, a bailable warrant has been issued for Rathee, and further proceedings are underway.

We also explain what a bailable warrant is. A Jamwanti warrant is an order issued by the court that grants bail under prescribed legal conditions, and the court has now granted Rathee this order.

The next hearing will determine the next course of action in this case.

All eyes are now on the October 31st hearing.

Dhruv Rathee is currently in London, and the next hearing in this case has been scheduled. The next hearing is very important, and only after that will further proceedings be decided. At present, the complainant has appealed in this matter.
