Recently, Widespread Violence continues in Nepal, despite army deployment, protestors have become more aggressive. clashes between police and protestors have led to deaths of two people. According to the recent reports, in this violence almost 100 people have been arrested. However, the situation seems to be improving slightly. authorities have lifted the curfew in eastern kathamandu, which was imposed after violent clashes between security forces ad pro-monarchy protestors. Tensions has been erupted in parts of kathmandu on friday when pro-monarchy protestors threw stones, attacked a political party office, set several vehicles on fire and looted the shops in the uinkune area. clashes between security forces and protestors resulted in the deaths of two people, including a tv cameraman.
Violence in Nepal
The army was later called in to control the situation. according to the notice from the kathmandu district administration office, the curfew which was imposed at 4:25pm on friday, was lifted at 7:00 am on saturday. According to the recent reports, protestors were demanding the restoration of the monarchy and the declaration of nepal as a hindu nation. the demonstration turned violent after protest leader durga prasai broke through security barricades and moved toward baneshawar in a bulletproof vehicle. Baneshwar is home to nepal’s parliament building.

In kathmandu, to response the protestors, a curfew has been imposed to stop them. district officials announced that the curfew would remain in place for about five hours, until 10 pm, and movement in certain areas would be strictly restricted. the police tried to disperse the protestors who were throwing the stones and attempting to break the security barricades. several police officers were injured in the clashes. officials reported that nearly half of the injured were police personnel. now, the situation remains tense as the government struggles to restore order. On the other hand protestors in nepal, demanding for the restoration of the monarchy and continue to clash with security forces. Authorities have urged people to stay indoors and avoid crowded areas to prevent further damage and violence. In Nepal, the security has been tightened to ease the situation.
