Cloudy skies have been observed since Friday morning. The monsoon arrived with a delay of five days compared to the usual schedule. Rainfall in parts of Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad led to a drop in temperatures, offering residents relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued rainfall warnings for various parts of the country.

Delhi’s Weather Forecast
According to the Meteorological Department, inclement weather is expected in Delhi-NCR on Friday. The sky is likely to remain cloudy today, with warnings issued for light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
Intermittent rain accompanied by cool winds is occurring across various parts of Delhi. The Meteorological Department predicts a drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature over the next four days. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 33 and 38 degrees Celsius. Rain is forecast for Delhi-NCR over the next three days. Additionally, the Southwest Monsoon is likely to bring rainfall to the North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, and several areas of Madhya Pradesh within the next two to three days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised people to remain alert amidst the changing weather conditions. Given the current fluctuations in the weather, which could impact health, caution is urged.

The Meteorological Department has advised against standing in open areas or under trees during thunderstorms and lightning strikes. People are also advised to stay away from waterlogged areas. To avoid traffic congestion, it is recommended to check traffic advisories beforehand. Monsoon Sets In Over Northeastern States
The monsoon has become fully active across the northeastern states. Consequently, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim, Manipur, and Meghalaya are experiencing spells of heavy rainfall. The monsoon will soon become active in all parts of the country, where heavy rains are likely to be witnessed.
Rain Warning for These Districts of Uttar Pradesh
According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is likely in 44 districts of Uttar Pradesh today, and a ‘yellow alert’ for rain has been issued for these areas. The Meteorological Department forecasts rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, and Banda. Rainfall is also expected in Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, and Farrukhabad. Meanwhile, rain warnings have been issued for Kanpur, Raebareli, Saharanpur, Shamli, Meerut, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, and Ghaziabad. Rain is also anticipated in Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Agra, and Firozabad.
