New Delhi: The potential devastation resulting from a war between the US and Iran is currently unimaginable, as continuous attacks are being launched from both sides. The US military is conducting large-scale airstrikes on Iran, targeting government buildings and military installations. Early Friday morning, US forces wreaked havoc in southern Iran with massive airstrikes. This time, they targeted not only military bases but also bridges, communication towers, airports, and other logistical networks.
According to the US military, the objective of these strikes is to weaken Iran’s military capabilities and its grip on the Strait of Hormuz. US Central Command reported that numerous precision strikes were carried out using fighter jets, drones, and warships. These attacks targeted coastal surveillance systems, air defence systems, military logistics, and maritime military capabilities. This marked the sixth consecutive day of large-scale US attacks.

Where Iran was rocked
The US is currently unleashing devastating force upon Iran, with heavy attacks concentrated in the southern coastal regions. Reports indicate multiple explosions in Ahvaz, Qeshm Island, Bushehr, Dashti, Bostan, Sirik, and Bandar-e-Lengeh. Compared to previous operations, these strikes have targeted a significantly larger amount of infrastructure.
Explosions occurred in parts of Bandar Abbas, including the Tepeh Allah Akbar area, while two key bridges near Bandar-e-Khamir were also struck. The US also targeted road and railway networks in Hormozgan province.
Additionally, the airport in the southeastern city of Iranshahr sustained significant damage following an attack. Power supplies were disrupted in several areas. Airstrikes were also conducted on the strategically important Kish Island, resulting in a complete blackout across various regions.
Iran also stepped up retaliatory attacks
Iran has continued its counterattacks targeting Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. These actions by Iran follow the US military operations. Missile attacks have been launched targeting US military bases in all these countries. The Qatari government has advised people to move to safe locations. Air defence systems intercepted missiles over the capital, Doha. The Iranian military has warned that if the US continues to attack power plants and other civilian infrastructure, key facilities across the entire region will be targeted.

Tensions Escalate in Hormuz
It is worth noting that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz remains tense, causing significant concern among the public. The US has reimposed a maritime blockade on Iranian ports. According to US military claims, they intercepted three commercial vessels attempting to breach the blockade; one vessel was disabled, and another was boarded and inspected.
