New Delhi: Tensions between the US and Iran have once again reached a boiling point. Iran is putting up a strong fight in response to US actions. Iran launched a major missile attack on US military bases, causing damage to the facilities. Meanwhile, following the Iranian attacks, Donald Trump has made a significant announcement.

He warned that the US would deliver a crushing response to Iran. He stated that the US would retaliate forcefully. Following Iran’s actions, the US and Saudi Arabia conducted joint airstrikes on positions held by Iran-backed militias in Iraq. Consequently, the situation in the Middle East has once again become tense.

Warning of a Crushing Response to Iran

US President Donald Trump told Fox News that the US would take strict action against Iran. He added that they would deliver a severe response and launch a powerful attack. Trump claimed that the Iranian attack was sudden, leaving the US military with only minutes to react.

He stated that US defence systems destroyed all the missiles before they could reach their targets. Trump claimed to have seen footage showing soldiers tracking missile coordinates in real-time and neutralising them.

IRGC Claims Responsibility for Attacks on US Bases

Iran’s IRGC has claimed full responsibility for the missile attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. This air base is a crucial military facility for the US Army and Central Command in Jordan. According to Iranian state media, the IRGC Air Force reported launching multiple ballistic missiles at the US air base and Central Command centre.

The IRGC stated that this action was taken in response to alleged aggressive activities by the US. The organisation declared in a statement that as long as threats against Iran and the alleged illegal activities of the US military continue.

Jordan Makes a Major Claim

Jordan has released significant information following the missile attacks by Iran. The Jordanian military stated that it intercepted and destroyed five Iranian missiles in mid-air. According to the military, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage resulting from this attack. It is worth noting that, in response to Iran’s attack, the US and Saudi Arabia have conducted joint operations targeting positions held by Iran-backed militias in Iraq.

Iran Expresses Displeasure Over US Attacks

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has expressed displeasure regarding the joint action taken by the United States and Saudi Arabia. The Ministry stated that this attack constitutes a direct assault on Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a serious violation of Article 2 of the UN Charter and international law. Furthermore, Iran alleged that the US and Saudi Arabia targeted facilities linked to Iraqi government institutions, as well as the procession routes and resting points of Arbaeen pilgrims.
