Udhayanidhi came out after questioning, calling his arrest a conspiracy

DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was released after questioning, has reacted sharply to his arrest. He alleged that a ‘cut-and-paste’ video of his speech was circulated on social media to present a wrong picture and action was taken against him on that basis.

Udhayanidhi Stalin said that his entire speech was presented out of context. He claims that he did not make any objectionable remarks and his statement was misinterpreted. He rejected all the allegations against him and said that the whole matter will become clear once the truth comes out.

He also alleged that the government wants to divert people’s attention from important issues related to farmers. According to him, an attempt is being made to push public interest issues to the background by deliberately escalating the current controversy.

Controversy continues over alleged remarks, with investigation underway

The controversy began with an alleged double-meaning remark, which was subsequently objected to by political parties and various organizations. After a complaint was lodged in the matter, the police initiated legal action and interrogated Udhayanidhi Stalin.

However, Udhayanidhi Stalin has consistently maintained that his statement has been distorted. He says that after watching the entire video the actual context will become clear and the allegations made against him will not be proved correct.

Currently the matter is under investigation. The police are taking further action based on the available evidence, complaints and statements of the concerned parties. The final outcome of the case will be revealed only after the investigation is completed and the legal process is followed.

What did Udhayanidhi Stalin say after his release?

After being released from interrogation, Udhayanidhi Stalin raised many questions regarding his arrest while talking to the media. He alleged that a portion of his speech was edited and circulated on social media, changing the meaning of the entire statement. According to him, action was taken against him on the basis of this alleged video.

Udhayanidhi said that if his entire speech is seen then the real situation of the controversy will become clear. He claims that he did not make any objectionable remarks against anyone and his statement was presented out of context. He termed all the allegations against him as baseless.

He also said that he will fully cooperate in the investigation and respects the law. He also expressed confidence that after the investigation is completed, the facts will come out and his message will also reach the people.

Accused the government of mishandling the farmers’ issue

Udhayanidhi Stalin alleged that the current controversy was being used to divert attention from important issues concerning farmers. He says that instead of discussing issues related to the interests of the state and farmers, more importance is being given to political controversies.

He said that issues like agriculture, irrigation and problems of farmers are more important before the public. According to him, these issues should be discussed seriously, but due to current developments, the public debate has gone in another direction.

However, the government has taken a different stand on these allegations. The administration says that the police action has been taken on the basis of the complaint and available facts and the investigation is going on completely as per the legal process.

Police investigation is underway after a complaint was lodged in the matter. Investigating agencies are examining the available videos, complaints, witness statements and other evidence. Further legal action will be decided on this basis.

Legal experts say that in any case, an impartial scrutiny of the arguments of both parties, the accusation and the defence, is necessary. Only after the investigation is completed will it be clear what further legal steps will be taken in the case.

At present, Udhayanidhi Stalin has denied the allegations, while the complainant stands by his allegations. In such a situation, the direction of the entire case will now depend on the next phase of investigation and judicial process.
