New Delhi: The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) has become a major topic of discussion nationwide. The CJP has staged protests against issues ranging from the NEET exam leak to irregularities in the SIR (a reference to recent examination/recruitment controversies). Several CJP leaders have even been detained or arrested in connection with these protests. Recently released from custody, CJP leader Sourav Das has once again launched an attack against the government.

In doing so, he also took a dig at the issue of unemployment. Posting on the social media platform X, Sourav Das remarked that he couldn’t stop laughing after reading the absurd conspiracy theories concocted by “blind follower” (andhbhakt) trolls—the kind who are allegedly paid “2 rupees per tweet.” You can read more about what he said in the article below.

Millions being spent to tarnish his image, claims Sourav Das

In a post on social media, CJP leader Sourav Das made a significant claim. He wrote that a large-scale system has been activated specifically to ruin his reputation. He suggested that someone might be spending millions or even crores to orchestrate a campaign, leading thousands of people to post baseless and nonsensical remarks against him.

CJP leaders fail to appear before the Crime Branch

CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were scheduled to appear before the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Thursday for questioning, but neither of them showed up. The Crime Branch intended to ask questions regarding protests held in Delhi. Both Das and Ranka have requested more time from the police. It is believed that the Delhi Police may soon issue another notice to them.

Delhi Police likely to issue a second notice

The Delhi Police Crime Branch had previously served notices to CJP leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Sourav Das, requiring them to appear for questioning. Since neither leader arrived at the Crime Branch office, it is expected that the Crime Branch may now issue a fresh, second notice to them. This is likely to lead to further difficulties for both leaders.

Before this, following a ban on protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, both leaders, accompanied by their supporters and carrying the national flag, gained entry by climbing over a gate and proceeded to raise slogans. They were subsequently taken into custody at Jantar Mantar and sent to Tihar Jail for five days. The court later extended their judicial custody by an additional two days, before eventually ordering their release upon the execution of a bond.
