RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Railway Recruitment Board has announced a new recruitment drive for those who wish to get a government job. This recruitment drive is especially for those who dream of getting a job in the Railways and have been preparing for it for years. 6557 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive.
The recruitment process for these posts has started from June 30 and the last date to apply is July 29, 2026. This recruitment drive will fill various posts including Technician Grade I Signal, Technician Grade III. Eligibility
To apply for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026, candidates must fulfill both the educational qualification and age eligibility, only then they will be eligible to apply for this recruitment. Under the educational qualification, for the posts of Technician Grade 1 Signal, candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation or a B.Sc. Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation degree.
For the posts of Technician Grade 3, candidates who have passed 10th and SSLC along with ITI in the relevant field will be eligible to apply.
Application Fee
To apply for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026, candidates will have to pay an application fee in which General, OBC, EWS candidates will have to pay an application fee of ₹500 for filling the form for RRB Technician posts, whereas SC / ST / PH candidates will have to pay an application fee of ₹250. After clearing the Stage 1 exam, General, OBC and EWS candidates will get a refund of ₹400 out of ₹500 and SC, ST and PH candidates will get a full refund. Candidates can pay the application fee through debit card, credit card, net banking.
Regarding age eligibility candidates must be at least 18 years old and at most 33 years old for the Technician Grade 1 Signal position, and at least 18 years old and at most 30 years old for the Technician Grade 3 position. Reserved category candidates will also receive age relaxation as per rules.
Salary
Candidates selected in RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 will be given a starting salary of Rs 29200 for the posts of Technician Grade 1 Signal and candidates selected for the posts of Technician Grade 3 will get a starting salary of Rs 19900.
Selection Process
Candidates for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 will be selected through Computer Based Test (CBT), Document Verification and Medical Examination and those who will be selected in all these examinations will be selected for the posts of Technician Grade 1 and Technician Grade 3.
