New Delhi: Explosive Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is back in the headlines. This time, he has made a direct appeal to the Chief Minister of his home state, Pushkar Singh Dhami. Pant expressed his desire to relocate to Uttarakhand and requested assistance in acquiring land, noting that he has been unable to find a suitable plot there.
He asked the Chief Minister for help and even suggested that the land could be a “gift. Following the Indian cricketer’s tweet, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami assured him of all possible assistance. Pant, who is currently touring Sri Lanka with the Indian team for a Test series, made this request via the social media platform X.

Explosive batsman Rishabh Pant surprised everyone with a post on X, revealing his desire to acquire land in Uttarakhand—something he has wanted to do for a long time but has struggled to achieve due to the difficulty of finding a suitable, spacious plot for residence. He emphasised his deep love for Uttarakhand.
He appealed for help in securing land, noting how difficult it has become to find property these days. He further mentioned that he was supposed to receive land intended to help promote Uttarakhand,d but it never materialised. He expressed a strong desire to move back and live among his fellow hill-folk.
He urged the authorities to look into the matter, pointing out that three years have passed without any progress. In a follow-up post, he wrote that while receiving land as a gift for representing the country at the highest level would be wonderful, he is also willing to purchase it from the government if necessary; his main goal is simply to have a home in his home state.
Assurance from CM Pushkar Singh Dhami
After reading Pant’s tweets, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami assured him that instructions had been issued to the concerned officials. Responding to Pant on X, the CM wrote, “Dear Rishabh, you are the pride of Uttarakhand.” You have brought glory to ‘Devbhoomi’—both nationally and internationally through your outstanding sporting performance and achievements.
He further remarked that your love for your homeland and your desire to return and contribute here is truly commendable. Instructions are being issued to the concerned officials regarding the matter you raised; they will contact you shortly to ensure all possible assistance is provided in accordance with the rules. This is the first time a player has had to personally appeal to the Chief Minister after failing to secure land in their own state.
