Renault India delivered a strong performance in May 2026, marking its ninth consecutive month of growth in wholesale vehicle sales. The company’s positive sales momentum, which began in September 2025, has continued steadily, highlighting its growing presence in the Indian automobile market. Renault recorded total wholesale sales of 4,113 vehicles in May 2026, compared to 2,502 units sold in May 2025. This represents an impressive year-on-year growth of 64 per cent. The strong demand for Renault’s recently launched Duster SUV, along with popular models like the Triber and Kiger, has played a key role in driving the company’s sales growth across the country.

Renault India Sales

Renault India has maintained strong sales momentum throughout the past several months. Between September 2025 and May 2026, the company sold a total of 38,225 vehicles, reflecting a solid 46 percent increase compared to the same period a year earlier. The growth was especially impressive in May 2026, when Renault recorded sales of 4,113 units, marking a significant 64 percent year-on-year jump. According to VAAHAN data, Renault was one of only two passenger vehicle manufacturers in India to achieve positive retail sales growth during May 2026. This performance highlights the brand’s increasing popularity and strengthening position in the Indian automobile market.

Recent Growth

A major share of Renault India’s recent growth has been driven by the popular Triber, a compact 7-seater MPV that was recently updated with features such as automatic climate control and a refreshed interior. The Kiger SUV has also contributed strongly to sales, attracting buyers with its stylish design, useful features, and affordable pricing in the competitive sub-4-meter SUV segment. Meanwhile, the biggest excitement has come from the newly launched next-generation Renault Duster. As deliveries have started, the SUV has received an enthusiastic response from customers. After making a long-awaited return to the Indian market, the new Duster is quickly gaining popularity among buyers.

Renault Duster SUV

Renault currently offers four cars in the Indian market, catering to different customer needs and budgets. The Renault Duster SUV is priced between ₹10.49 lakh and ₹18.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a petrol engine, along with manual and automatic transmission options. The Renault Triber, a compact 7-seater MPV, is available from ₹5.81 lakh to ₹8.69 lakh and delivers around 20 kmpl mileage. The Renault Kiger SUV is priced between ₹5.81 lakh and ₹10.34 lakh, offering petrol engine options and mileage of up to 20.38 kmpl. Renault’s most affordable model, the KWID hatchback, starts at ₹4.30 lakh and offers a mileage of 22.3 kmpl.
