According to recent reports, the Rajasthan government has approved the PM Awas Yojana 2.o. Where the government has also taken the initiative to build 6,139 New houses in Rajasthan. As per the details, these homes will be built in the Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) category. This will help people to build their own homes with complete support from the Government of Rajasthan. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries will receive the amount of Rs.2.5 lakh from the government to build their homes. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.o
Recently, the State-Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC), led by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, approved 6,139 new houses in Rajasthan under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.o. Also, the government has approved 153.47 crore to support these houses. In the meeting, it was also discussed that the 6,593 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 1.o where construction has not started yet were reviewed, and the next steps were discussed. Under the scheme of PM Awas Yojana, each and every beneficiary will be getting the amount of Rs.2.5 lakh to build the house. As per the reports, the government will also release the first installment of the Rs.61 crore for the newly approved houses.
Financial Help to the Families
Under the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) Category of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Every beneficiary will get financial assistance from the Government of India and Rajasthan to build their homes on their own. Also, those families who do not own any land to build their houses on may also get the land through the help of the government as per the eligibility. According to the details, every house will consist of two rooms, one kitchen, one bathroom, and one toilet. As per the scheme, the beneficiaries will be getting the help of Rupees 2.5 lakh. In which the financial assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakh will be provided by the Central Government, and the rest of the 1 lakh rupees will be given by the Rajasthan State Government.
