Maharashtra Cyber Cell Sends Second Summon to Comedian Samay Raina
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has sent a second summon to stand-up comedian Samay Raina in the India’s Got Latent case. He has been asked to appear before the investigation officer on February 17.
Raina’s lawyer informed the Cyber Cell that he is currently in the US and will return to India on March 17. However, Mumbai Police told his team that they cannot delay the investigation for so long. Therefore, the comedian must appear before the police within 14 days of the inquiry starting.
Mumbai Police Records Statements of Seven People in India’s Got Latent Case
The Khar Police have recorded statements from seven people in connection with the India’s Got Latent controversy. Those questioned include panelists Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorv Makheja, as well as Balraj Ghai, the owner of the studio where the show was filmed. Three technical crew members involved in the show were also questioned.
No Decision Yet on FIR
Mumbai Police has not yet decided whether to file an FIR in the case. Officials stated that they will first complete recording statements of people linked to the show and then make a decision on further action.

Comedian Samay Raina has finally spoken about the ongoing controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. In a social media post, he expressed his struggle in dealing with the situation. He wrote, “It has been extremely difficult for me to handle everything happening right now. I have removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from my channel. My only intention was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure a fair investigation. Thank you.”
Along with this statement, Raina took down all episodes of the show from YouTube. The controversial episode, which sparked outrage, had already been removed on February 10.
