Manoj Kumar Demise: Famous Bollywood actor Manoj Kumar died on 4 April in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. He was 87 years old. Manoj Kumar’s son Kunal Goswami told that his father has said goodbye to this world peacefully. He was suffering from liver problems for a long time. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital in February due to health related problems. Where he died, his body has been kept in Vishal Tower Juhu for the last rites, his last rites will be performed on 5 April morning in Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu.
Dharmendra reached for the last darshan

As soon as the news of Manoj Kumar Demise was received, many Bollywood actors reached for his last darshan, including Dharmendra and Raveena Tondo and many other big artists. While Dharmendra bid a tearful farewell to his friend, Raveena said that she has brought three special things for him, apart from this Shatrughan Sinha and Hema Malini also paid tribute to him.
He was famous as Bharat Kumar

The whole country is saddened by Manoj Kumar Demise. He was famous for making patriotic films and was also known as ‘Bharat Kumar’. He worked in famous films like Purva Aur Paschim, whose song ‘Bharat ka rehne wala hoon Bharat ki baat sunata hoon’ is still hummed by people. Apart from this, he worked in superhit films like Do Badan, Hariyali aur Rasta, Gumnaam, Roti Kapda, Kranti. Manoj Kumar has received seven Filmfare Awards, where he was given the Padma Shri in 1992 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2016.
He used to work as a director along with films. He breathed his last at 3:30 am in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, the cause of death is said to be a heart attack. According to the information received, he was admitted in February due to poor health, where he was suffering from a disease called decompensated liver cirrhosis.

Manoj Kumar Demise on 4 April 2025, Manoj Kumar’s real name was Harikishan Giri Goswami, he was born on 24 July 1937 in Abbottabad, which is a part of Pakistan today. Manoj Kumar was interested in acting since childhood and to enter films, he changed his name from Harikishan Giri Goswami to Manoj Kumar. He started his acting career in 1957 with the film Fashion and in 1960 he worked in the film Kanch Ki Gudiya, after which he worked in many successful films like Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Kranti and Upkar. He mostly played patriotic roles in his films, which is why he also came to be known as ‘Bharat Kumar’.
