Jalsakhi Yojana
Jalsakhi Yojana: The Uttarakhand government is going to start Jalsakhi Yojana in its state very soon. This step taken by the government towards women empowerment has been taken keeping in mind the interests of women, in which women will now become financially capable. After the success of Lakhpati Didi Yojana, the Uttarakhand government has now planned to start the Jal Sakhi scheme. This scheme will be started under the pilot project, in which the work of supplying drinking water in rural areas will be handed over to the women self-help group.
For this, the government will prepare Jal Sakhis and give the work of supplying drinking water and distributing bills in the village. Earlier, Lakhpati Didi Yojana was started in 2022 by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami, taking advantage of which 1.63 lakh women have become lakhpatis, now the Uttarakhand government has planned to start this scheme to make women self-reliant.
The scheme will be started under the pilot project
Uttarakhand government’s Jalsakhi Yojana will be started under the pilot project, in which the work of distributing bills and giving new water connections in rural areas, distribution of water bills, bill collection and maintenance of the scheme will be given to the women self-help groups. In this, women will be given an amount of ₹ 10 per bill, by taking advantage of this scheme, women living in rural areas will be able to get employment opportunities for themselves by distributing electricity bills around them and become self-reliant.
Jal Sakhi women will be trained
Women who become Jal Sakhi in Jalsakhi Yojana will be trained, for which selected groups of women will be trained. Women in the women’s self-help group will also report the faults in the water scheme to the concerned department. In this scheme, omen will be entrusted with the work of bill distribution, repairs, bill collection and maintenance of the scheme, apart from this, the work of giving new connections in rural areas will also have to be done, apart from this, the concerned department will also provide a kit to the women’s group to check the quality of drinking water.
Earlier in 2022, Lakhpati Didi Yojana was started
Jalsakhi Yojana will be run in Uttarakhand very soon. The Uttarakhand government keeps running many schemes keeping in mind the interests of women, under this, in 2022, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand started the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, in which women associated with self-help groups are given training in agriculture, horticulture, sewing embroidery, initial veterinary service and digital transactions so that they can run their livelihood well, in which about 1.63 women have become lakhpatis in 3 years.
