He explained that they share a healthy and funny chemistry, but whenever one of them outshines the other, they can’t help but feel a little bad. Jaideep recalled a time when he won an award for Maharaj. While Vijay was happy for him initially, the next day, he humorously started swearing at Jaideep, saying he had “stolen” his award.

He added, “Maybe a decade ago, I wouldn’t have been able to do Paatal Lok. Today, seeing all three of us (Rajkummar Rao, Vijay, and myself) being nominated for awards, and even giving awards to each other, none of us could have imagined this.”
