The Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out a major airstrike on more than 1,200 hamas terrorist sites in gaza. many of these targets included tunnels used by hamas fighters. over 350 fighter jets and aircrafts were involved in the operations. according to the israeli armu, 15 senior hamas terrorists were killed in the attack, and more than 100 have surrendered. these individuals were responsible for attacking were part of a larger military campaign against hamas to weaken its control in gaza an to punish those involved in past attacks, the israeli military said that this was one of the biggest air operations carried out in the recent times, aiming to destroy hamas’s infrastructure and prevent future threats. the surrender of more than 100 fighters also shows that the group is under pressure. the situation in gaza remains tense as the operation continues.
The israeli army said that this attack began on march 18, after the ceasefire with hamas in gaza was broken. so far 100 terrorists sites have been completely destoyed. hundreds of terrorists and military commanders belonging to terrorits groups in gaza have also been neutralized. among those killed are 15 company commanders and other fighters who had enetered israeli territory during the october 7 attack, the IDF israeli defence forces stated that they will continue operatins against hamas wherever necessary. on wednesday, israel’s defense minister said that israeli forces will remain indefinitely in gaza’s so called security zones as well as in lebanon and syria.
