IPL 2025 Slow Over Rate, BCCI has made new rules related to IPL matches in which many rules have been changed. Earlier, BCCI had removed the ban on applying saliva on the ball. Now after this, BCCI is also making big changes in the rules of slow over rate, due to which captains will no longer be banned, but demerit points will be added to their account. Earlier, captain Hardik Pandya was banned for one match due to which he could not play the first match of IPL 2025. Now after this rule, no captain will be banned, but instead demerit points will be added to their account.
Now demerit points will be given

under the new rules of IPL 2025 Slow Over Rate, instead of banning the captains, BCCI has made new rules, now they will be given demerit points and these demerit points will remain for a period of 3 years, these demerit points will be determined on the basis of the severity of the offense, but now they will not be banned for matches.
In this, on the basis of demerit points, a fine of 25% to 75% of the match fee can be imposed under Level 1, which will be calculated for the next 3 years, while Level 2 offense will have four demerit points, in this a fine of 100 percent or a fine will be imposed in the form of additional demerit points. BCCI rules are very strict for matches, which the players have to follow.
What is slow over rate

IPL 2025 Slow Over Rate rules have been imposed by BCCI in IPL so that the matches can be finished on time, for this time has been fixed for 20 overs, in which if the overs are not finished then the captain gets punished due to which the players are banned in the match, but now BCCI has changed its rules

Before the new rule of IPL 2025 Slow Over Rate, the captain had to pay a fine of 12 lakhs for slow over rate, while for the second time a fine of Rs 24 lakh is imposed for slow over rate, along with this a fine is also imposed on the rest of the team members, in which the captain is fined 24 lakhs and the rest of the team members are fined 6 lakhs or 25% of their match fee, whichever is less, while for bowling a slow over for the third time a fine of Rs 30 lakh is imposed while the rest of the team members are fined 12 lakh rupees or 50% of their match fee, whichever is less.
