India Pakistan Import Ban: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the government has given a befitting reply to Pakistan. After closing the Attari Wagah border, preparing the army’s jet fighter and then taking another step, India has banned all types of imports from Pakistan.
This important decision has been taken after the Pahalgam attack, in which the Commerce Ministry has issued a notification according to which a new provision has been added in the foreign trade policy and the import of all direct and indirect goods imported or exported from Pakistan has been banned, this ban has been imposed keeping in mind the interest of national security and public policy.
The trade at Attari-Wagah border had already been closed

The only land route connecting India Pakistan, Attari-Wagah border, had already been closed due to which the trade was badly affected. Let us tell you that a huge amount of trade used to take place at Attari-Wagah border, its closure can have a deep impact on the traders and manufacturers of Pakistan, although for a long time the imports from Pakistan to India have been almost negligible, still many items are being sent to India through the ports of Dubai, Singapore and Colombo.
Goods going from India to Pakistan

Due to the dispute between India and Pakistan, the trade between the two countries has come to a complete halt. Many things are sent from India to Pakistan, which include iron, sugar, salt, tea, coffee, onion, tomato, auto parts, paint, cotton, chemicals and spices and many medicines are also sent by India. Pakistan mainly depended on the medicines sent by India. Now after the stoppage of medicines, it can have a deep impact on Pakistan and Pakistan may have to find some other alternative for it.
Goods coming from Pakistan to India

Import in India Pakistan has been completely stopped, many goods were sent from Pakistan to India, in this India used to import products like salt, copper, fruits, gypsum and cement, apart from this rock salt, Multani soil were also imported from Pakistan, however this import was almost negligible for a long time and now after this strict step, this import will also be stopped.

The Commerce Ministry says that this decision has been taken keeping in mind national security and public interest.
