Buying a new Hyundai car has become slightly more expensive. Hyundai Motor India has increased the prices of its vehicles by up to ₹12,800 across different models and variants. The company says the decision was taken due to rising input and operational costs. The revised prices have already come into effect from May 2026. As a result, customers planning to purchase popular Hyundai models will now have to spend a little more than before. The latest price hike is part of the automaker’s effort to manage increasing production and business expenses while continuing to offer its range of vehicles in the market.
Increasing production Cost
Hyundai has said that the latest price hike will vary across models and variants, with the maximum increase limited to ₹12,800. The company explained that rising raw material prices and higher operating costs have made the move necessary. As a result, customers looking to buy a new Hyundai vehicle will now have to pay slightly more than before.

The price increase was expected, as Hyundai Motor India had already hinted at it earlier this year. In a stock exchange filing on April 8, 2026, the company said it planned to raise prices across its vehicle range by around 1% from the following month. The latest revision is part of Hyundai’s effort to manage growing costs while continuing to offer its cars in the Indian market.
Prices Increased for the Hyundai Cars
Hyundai Motor India says it has been continuously working to control costs and reduce the impact on customers as much as possible. However, with production and operating expenses continuing to rise, the company has been left with little choice but to pass on a part of the increased costs to buyers through a price hike.
Hyundai currently offers a wide range of vehicles in India, covering hatchback, sedan, SUV and electric vehicle segments. Its lineup includes popular models such as the Creta, Venue, Creta EV, Exter, Aura, Grand i10 Nios, i20, Alcazar, Verna, Tucson, Kona and Ioniq 5. Several of these models are among the company’s best-selling vehicles in the country. Following the latest revision, customers planning to purchase any of these Hyundai cars will now have to pay slightly higher prices than before.
