New Delhi: If you plan to enter Noida or Greater Noida via the Dadri route today (August 24) with a heavy vehicle, please plan carefully. The movement of heavy vehicles and cargo carriers on the Dadri route is completely restricted today. The Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police have issued an advisory regarding this.
The route has been closed to large vehicles since 7:00 AM and will remain so until 10:00 PM. This restriction is in place because a program attended by distinguished guests from India and abroad is scheduled at the Denso India company, located on the Dadri route near Tilpata Roundabout.
Heavy cargo vehicles must adhere to ‘no-entry’ guidelines and use alternative routes to reach their destinations. Details regarding the routes to be used are provided below.
Routes that can be used
In the interest of public safety, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police has restricted the Tilpata-Dadri route for cargo and heavy vehicles. Commuters who would normally use this route can reach their destinations via alternative paths. For instance, heavy cargo vehicles travelling from the Container Depot towards Tilpata Roundabout can proceed to their destinations via the Dadri and Rupvas bypasses.
Heavy cargo vehicles travelling from Surajpur towards Dadri via Tilpata can reach their destinations by taking the 130-meter road through the Badalpur industrial area. Additionally, heavy cargo vehicles travelling from Sirsa Roundabout towards Dadri/Container Depot via Tilpata Roundabout can use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway to complete their journey.
Furthermore, the movement of emergency vehicles—such as ambulances and fire service vehicles—will be ensured during these diversions. All drivers must comply with these instructions to avoid facing difficulties.
Helpline number issued
The Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police has also issued a helpline number for heavy cargo vehicles. Motorists can contact the helpline number 991009001 in case of any inconvenience on the alternative route. Additionally, the traffic police have appealed to the public to use the alternative route so that normal life remains uninterrupted.
Duration of the Route Restriction
According to the guidelines issued by the Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police, a program involving distinguished dignitaries from India and abroad is scheduled. Consequently, this route will remain restricted on August 24 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The movement of heavy vehicles will resume smoothly after the designated time; therefore, all drivers of goods-carrying vehicles must adhere to the regulations as outlined in the advisory. Restrictions on vehicle movement have been imposed here in the past due to similar events, with motorists opting for alternative routes to reach their destinations.
